Female Afghan beneficiary opening her…wings to become a pilot
The 18-year-old Afghan refugee, Hosseini Bahareh, settled with her mother and sister in a shelter operated by Caritas Athens in April 2017.
She studied at a Greek school and obtained the High School certificate, successfully defying the difficulties she faced with the Greek language.
With the help of the Social Integration Team of the Organization, she began to attend the public IEK of Argyroupolis in September. Her aim is to acquire its bachelor’s degree as “Filght Supervisor” (planning the flight in the safest, most regular and economical way) in two years’ time, and then the professional pilot diploma, realizing her dream of becoming a pilot of policy aviation!
The following video, which she created, tells her story, emphasizing that she has always made anything difficult to look easy and gives lessons of strength and determination!
